DIY Syringe Disposal Containers
If you don’t have an FDA approved sharps container you can use empty household containers. Containers should have the following properties:
♦︎ Heavy-duty Plastic
♦︎ Tight Fitting Lid
♦︎ Stays Upright and Doesn’t Leak
Avoid containers with thin plastic such as water bottles and milk containers. Avoid glass as it can break. Laundry Detergent Bottles and Coffee Containers often make good sharps containers.
Seal the container with Duct Tape and write “Biohazard” and “Sharps” on the container.
Reporting Line: (951) 364-5311
